Renaissance Denver Stapleton Debuts Renovation

Will Speros • May 15, 2018

The historic has announced the completion of its $15 million renovation. Led by El Segundo, California-based firm , the refresh included a redesign of the 400 guestrooms and public spaces.

The property has been reimagined with a classic and understated color scheme defined with blue-gray tones and earthen notes of orange. The scheme is also characterized by strong geometric elements. Streamlined furniture populates the interior alongside a selection of lilies, succulents, and other indigenous Colorado greenery. The lobby sets the tone with a botanical program as well as new modern furnishings and artwork. The hotel’s 40,000 square feet of meeting spaces have also been upgraded with new light fixtures, wallcoverings, and geometric carpeting in grayscale.

Arriving as part of the revamp is the new restaurant Fifty300, which is crafted to evoke a ski resort café, complete with pseudo-ski lifts. Tables are crafted with wood grains, shapes, and textures, while hints of metal and other architectural elements offer a subtle industrial flair, which also include hardwood flooring and stacks of hardwood.

Guestrooms have been modernized with a palette of white, silver, and brown as well as silver paneling, silver geometric lamps, and gray carpeting. Lounges in each room have been revamped with round tables, desk chairs, and gray sleeper sofas in king rooms and blue armchairs in queen rooms. Bathrooms boast new tiling in addition to walk-in showers, backlit mirrors with a mountain silhouette, and textured silver and gray wallpaper that resembles exposed concrete.
